A Pew Center poll studying the mood of voters in upcoming national elections suggests that the sense of national unity that followed the Sept. 11 attacks has subsided. The survey finds a rise in political polarity, similar to public sentiment found in the center’s 2000 poll. NPR’s Robert Siegel talks with Andrew Kohut, of the Pew Research Center.
